In the 8thth minute of the game Ludwig Hjeltman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Idkerberget FF's Carl Petersson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Ludwig Hjeltman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varnhem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludwig Hjeltman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Varnhem's Andy Bark in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Idkerberget FF's goalie prevented a goal. 16 minutes into the match, Idkerberget FF's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Bark came free, but Carl Petersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Andy Bark's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carl Petersson was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 18 minutes into the game, Jimmie Igelström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Idkerberget FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varnhem the free kick. After a rather tough play, Idkerberget FF's Jimmie Igelström got a free kick in the 19th minute. Jimmie Igelström was shown his second yellow card after 20 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 20 played minutes Idkerberget FF got a freekick which was hit by Jimmie Igelström. Anders Jansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leo Ekrot having to make a save. Douglas Willig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Petersson having to interfere. Idkerberget FF's Carl Petersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludwig Hjeltman in the 35th minute of play. If Ludwig Hjeltman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Ludwig Hjeltman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Petersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carl Petersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludwig Hjeltman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Varnhem's zone, Anders Jansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Ekrot came out of the goal and Anders Jansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ludwig Hjeltman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leo Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anders Jansson in the 65th minute of play. Torbjörn Nordkvist's late challenge caught a Varnhem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torbjörn Nordkvist helped the player get up and apologised. Torbjörn Nordkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Carl Petersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludwig Hjeltman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Idkerberget FF's Carl Petersson got control of the ball when Andy Bark tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 78 minutes of play Idkerberget FF's Torbjörn Nordkvist was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Idkerberget FF getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Torbjörn Nordkvist hit a great ball. Robin Kinnman charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robin Kinnman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Varnhem booed when Idkerberget FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Kinnman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Ludwig Hjeltman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varnhem's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludwig Hjeltman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Petersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute, Andy Bark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
