Simlångsdalen's Adam Zander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Simlångsdalen from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eskil Almkvist in the 16th minute of play forced Simlångsdalen's goalkeeper Adam Zander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Johan Hult missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 33 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Stefan Öman right hand side. After 36 played minutes, Simlångsdalen's Osvald Dahlberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stefan Öman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Simlångsdalen reached it. 45 minutes into the match, Bygdsiljum's Herman Ahlroth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adam Zander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonas Arvidsson hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eskil Almkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Herman Ahlroth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Zander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eskil Almkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adam Zander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eskil Almkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. Eskil Almkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Adam Zander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herman Ahlroth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simlångsdalen's Inge Eriksson got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stefan Öman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inge Eriksson in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th match minute, Bygdsiljum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Wallin to maneuver through the defense. When Karl-Johan Hult came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Simlångsdalen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Johan Hult couldn't finish the play. Douglas Biörkman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute Eskil Almkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Zander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Öman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Eriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Douglas Biörkman struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Stefan Öman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simlångsdalen. Stefan Öman acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 84th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Osvald Dahlberg. Eskil Almkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Herman Ahlroth put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Adam Zander. Stefan Öman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Douglas Biörkman went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 95th match minute, Bygdsiljum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Malmberg to maneuver through the defense. Simlångsdalen's Gösta Vennerberg couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 96th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bygdsiljum. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
