Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dick Lindberg in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Åke Kinnman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alf Lindqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Isac Björkdahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egon Rudqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. If Alf Lindqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Alf Lindqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isac Björkdahl. Sidensjö's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alf Lindqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 17 minutes, Alf Julin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ellös IF and the Sidensjö players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sidensjö booed when Ellös IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Julin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Alf Lindqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ellös IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alf Lindqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dick Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Lindqvist in the 34th minute of play forced Sidensjö's goalkeeper Isac Björkdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Widberg's late challenge caught a Ellös IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Widberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Sebastian Widberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Alf Lindqvist fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ellös IF's protests and gave Alf Lindqvist a yellow card for diving instead. Alf Lindqvist hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Dick Lindberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sidensjö's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dick Lindberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Ellös IF's Sven-Åke Kinnman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Lindberg in the 51st minute of play. After some careless play in the Sidensjö defense, Alf Lindqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isac Björkdahl. The Sidensjö fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isac Björkdahl should have stopped the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Ellös IF's goal looked a bit too open when Dick Lindberg came free, but Sven-Åke Kinnman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Jim Söderberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sidensjö fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Alf Julin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isac Björkdahl was a little too slow when Philip Mikaelsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-3. Sven-Åke Kinnman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dick Lindberg in the 82nd minute of play. Dick Lindberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Åke Kinnman having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Ellös IF's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Malmström came free, but Sven-Åke Kinnman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
