The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Lunde BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Ekström to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Pelle Byström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Svante Nyberg. Lunde BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pelle Byström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Pelle Byström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Svante Nyberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henric Giöck hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Svante Nyberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelle Byström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the game, one of Slottsbron:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Slottsbron's Marc Lindqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henric Kinnman in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Henric Kinnman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esbjörn Wästerberg got free with Marc Lindqvist in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Lunde BK defense, Egil Löfgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Svante Nyberg. The Lunde BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Svante Nyberg should have stopped the shot. Per-Åke Persson might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Svante Nyberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Per-Åke Persson ran back to his position shaking his head. Henric Kinnman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marc Lindqvist came out and tried to block the shot, but Henric Kinnman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 44th minute. Egil Löfgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pelle Byström was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Lunde BK's Gustaf Abrahamsson got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Egil Löfgren got free with Svante Nyberg in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pelle Byström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svante Nyberg having to interfere. If Egil Löfgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lunde BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henric Kinnman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 85 minutes, Lukas Pedersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lunde BK and the Slottsbron players grew even worse after the yellow card. 85 minutes into the game, one of Lunde BK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The audience was convinced that Pelle Byström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Svante Nyberg was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Slottsbron's zone, Esbjörn Wästerberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marc Lindqvist came out of the goal and Esbjörn Wästerberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Slottsbron walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
