In the 3rd match minute, Söderbärke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Ove Åkerberg to maneuver through the defense. Henry Kjellkvist, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Haegg in the 5th minute of play forced Timmernabben IF's goalkeeper Stig-Åke Martinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stig-Åke Martinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Haegg, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Klas Ahlström hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. If Per-Åke Kellman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sören Danielsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Stig-Åke Martinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timmernabben IF's Per-Åke Kellman got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Söderbärke's goalkeeper Torsten Mattsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per-Åke Kellman. Per-Åke Kellman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Mattsson having to interfere. Stig-Åke Martinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sören Danielsson in the 36th minute of the match. Sören Danielsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timmernabben IF's Stig-Åke Martinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Haegg in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Söderbärke getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Michael Lägdin hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Söderbärke's Torsten Mattsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustav Henriksson in the 55th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Söderbärke's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Hult came free, but Torsten Mattsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torsten Mattsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Hult, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Per-Åke Kellman might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Torsten Mattsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Per-Åke Kellman ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Hans Hult sped through Söderbärke's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Torsten Mattsson. If Sören Danielsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Timmernabben IF getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Jonatan Ryberg hit a great ball. Torsten Mattsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Hult, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80thth minute of the game Hans Hult who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Söderbärke's Torsten Mattsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Hans Hult had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Söderbärke's Torsten Mattsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Åke Kellman in the 92nd minute of play. Timmernabben IF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
