After a rather tough play, Östersund's Jarl Blom got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Viktor Helberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bertil Ahlfors. Östersund's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Ingemar Björnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sverker Anselius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jörgen Kullander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute Torgny Kvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Ahlfors saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Tom Winström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Torgny Kvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bertil Ahlfors was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Blomstermåla FF's zone, Ingemar Björnsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörgen Kullander came out of the goal and Ingemar Björnsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torgny Kvist to make the kick off. Sverker Anselius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jörgen Kullander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tom Winström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Sverker Anselius struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Jörgen Kullander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Östersund. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
