If Esbjörn Frisck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Kalix's zone, Olle Bryngelsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdemar Sandberg came out of the goal and Olle Bryngelsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The attack was good, but when Olle Bryngelsson in the 33rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Olle Bryngelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Obbola's supporters rose to their feet, but Olle Bryngelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdemar Sandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olle Bryngelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Josef Bodin kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Obbola's goal looked a bit too open when Ingemar Löfdahl came free, but Sven-Åke Strömberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Åke Strömberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ingemar Löfdahl's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Esbjörn Frisck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Peder Duset managed to get in a good position for a shot. Obbola's supporters rose to their feet, but Peder Duset was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdemar Sandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Obbola booed when Kalix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Carlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Åke Strömberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esbjörn Frisck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Roger Ståhlberg fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Obbola's protests and gave Roger Ståhlberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 played minutes Obbola got a freekick which was hit by Roger Ståhlberg. After some careless play in the Obbola defense, Esbjörn Frisck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sven-Åke Strömberg. The Obbola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sven-Åke Strömberg should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute, Ingemar Löfdahl ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sven-Åke Strömberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Kalix's Valdemar Sandberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Kalix from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kalix had won after a very even match.
