Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Alingsås IK's Sven-Olof Haström started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ernst Wennerström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th minute, Eric Botvidsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stellan Lindholm came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Matfors's Torsten Svanér. But to his dismay, Torsten Svanér quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ernst Wennerström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Elias Månsson made a huge save. Sven-Olof Haström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elias Månsson having to make a save. Ernst Wennerström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Månsson having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Göran Dalman during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elias Månsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Olof Haström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stellan Lindholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Botvidsson in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Torsten Svanér ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stellan Lindholm was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Eric Botvidsson made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Martin Asklund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alingsås IK and the Matfors players grew even worse after the yellow card. Martin Asklund hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Eric Botvidsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stellan Lindholm was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Matfors's zone, Sven-Olof Haström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Månsson came out of the goal and Sven-Olof Haström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sven-Olof Haström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Alingsås IK. Håkan Melberg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Elias Månsson. 1-2. In the 84th minute, Håkan Klemensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute Ernst Wennerström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Månsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matfors's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
