Ola Bäcklin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gullspång fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Söderbärke a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Henrik Olsmann, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gullspång's Bo Kolberg. 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Söderbärke's goal looked a bit too open when Helge Persson came free, but Gustav Hellkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Helge Persson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gullspång's supporters rose to their feet, but Helge Persson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustav Hellkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Helge Persson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gustav Hellkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 minutes of play, Gullspång's Helge Persson made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustav Hellkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gustav Hellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helge Persson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kent Tolsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kent Sandberg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gustav Hellkvist firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gullspång's Helge Persson got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Kent Sandberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustav Hellkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 43rd minute, Kent Tolsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bo Kolberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Kent Sandberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Söderbärke's Gustav Hellkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gustav Hellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helge Persson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 minutes, Jan Apelkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Söderbärke and the Gullspång players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gustav Hellkvist came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gullspång's Kent Sandberg. But to his dismay, Kent Sandberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. After having played for 68 minutes, Kent Sandberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gullspång's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kent Sandberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Kent Tolsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bo Kolberg. That made the score 4-4 in the 76 minute of play. In the 81st minute Helge Persson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustav Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bo Kolberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Tolsson in the 83rd minute of play. Gullspång's Bo Kolberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Tolsson in the 90th minute of play. Ola Bäcklin might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bo Kolberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ola Bäcklin ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kent Tolsson in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bo Kolberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
