In the 27thth minute of the game Reine Britz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hammenhög BK's Vilgot Ekeberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Bandhagen's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Vassenius came free, but Edward Tunberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bandhagen's zone, Peter Vassenius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edward Tunberg came out of the goal and Peter Vassenius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Peter Vassenius came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Hammenhög BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Vassenius couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Erling Mellberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hammenhög BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Erling Mellberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edward Tunberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Erling Mellberg came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Hammenhög BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erling Mellberg couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute Reine Britz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilgot Ekeberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reine Britz was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Zebastian Askberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erling Mellberg got free with Edward Tunberg in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edward Tunberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Vassenius in the 54th minute of play. Edward Tunberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erling Mellberg in the 57th minute. Vilgot Ekeberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reine Britz in the 58th minute of play. Peter Vassenius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Edward Tunberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Reine Britz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vilgot Ekeberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Vilgot Ekeberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reine Britz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edward Tunberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erling Mellberg in the 69th minute. Vilgot Ekeberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukas Sjö in the 72nd minute of the match. Peter Vassenius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vilgot Ekeberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukas Sjö, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Vilgot Ekeberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukas Sjö, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Mathias Vester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Vassenius in the 90th minute of play forced Bandhagen's goalkeeper Edward Tunberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Vassenius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bandhagen's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
