After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Sigvard Berg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tranås IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sigvard Berg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Enström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kjell-Arne Engström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hans Enström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Arne Harlén in the 59th minute of the match. When Anthon Vallengren, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 60 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Niclas Lindgren was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 61st minute Kjell-Arne Engström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niclas Lindgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 63 minutes, Anthon Vallengren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tjörnarp FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthon Vallengren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Kjell-Arne Engström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niclas Lindgren was relentless in the 64th minute of the game.
