Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Olof Mårtensson got the match started through his kick off. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Reine Tingberg sped through Vallsta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ralf Fanström. After a defensive mix-up in Ystad's zone, Olof Mårtensson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helge Hansson came out of the goal and Olof Mårtensson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olof Mårtensson in the 11th minute of play forced Ystad's goalkeeper Helge Hansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Helge Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Mårtensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Joseph Högman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Bengt-Arne Svensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helge Hansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joseph Högman might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Helge Hansson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With a little luck, Vallsta's Ralf Fanström got control of the ball when Reine Tingberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Helge Hansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bengt-Arne Svensson's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Olof Mårtensson might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Helge Hansson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olof Mårtensson ran back to his position shaking his head. Bengt-Arne Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Helge Hansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Helge Hansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olof Mårtensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olof Mårtensson struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Helge Hansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vallsta. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bengt-Arne Svensson got free with Helge Hansson in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ralf Fanström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reine Tingberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ralf Fanström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Andersson in the 85th minute of play. In the 92nd minute of the match Vallsta got a corner. Ystad's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roy Bergvall ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Vallsta's Roy Bergvall to fire away a dangerous shot which Helge Hansson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Viktor Bogren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ralf Fanström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reine Tingberg in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ralf Fanström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Reine Tingberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralf Fanström was relentless in the 98th minute of the game.
