Bo-Erik Jespersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rikard Runberg having to interfere. Alstermo FK's Claes Tingberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Alstermo FK from getting a goal against them. Claes Tingberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helge Olsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Helge Olsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Claes Tingberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 16 in the game by Folke Fågel from a close distance when the talented Claes Tingberg managed to make a qualified save. Alstermo FK's players were relieved. In the 20th minute, Michael Zander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claes Tingberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Olsson in the 24th minute of play. Marcus Ekberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Rikard Runberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Folke Fågel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Claes Tingberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Karl-Axel Möllgren hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcus Ekberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Alstermo FK's zone, Helge Olsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claes Tingberg came out of the goal and Helge Olsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Ekberg in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rikard Runberg saved Glommersträsk BF from getting behind. In the 59th minute of the match Bengt Lindman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claes Tingberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thor Sandberg's late challenge caught a Alstermo FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thor Sandberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Glommersträsk BF got a freekick which was hit by Thor Sandberg. Alstermo FK's Claes Tingberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Fågel in the 65th minute of play. Helge Olsson took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claes Tingberg. Claes Tingberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Marcus Ekberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rikard Runberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo-Erik Jespersson , who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute, Folke Fågel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Marcus Ekberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bo-Erik Jespersson got free with Rikard Runberg in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nils-Erik Kock's late challenge caught a Glommersträsk BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils-Erik Kock helped the player get up and apologised. Nils-Erik Kock kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Helge Olsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Claes Tingberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Glommersträsk BF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alstermo FK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
