Dick Björk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Börje Apelqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. One of Smålandsstenar IFK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sköldinge:s goal. Egon Helander placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Dick Björk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rikard Hansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rikard Hansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes in the game, Ian Wik fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Samuel Eliasson having to interfere. Rikard Hansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Samuel Eliasson made a huge save. Ian Wik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Eliasson having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Matthias Näver hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sköldinge's zone, Bengt Linqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Eliasson came out of the goal and Bengt Linqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute Aron Edström managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Dick Björk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71stth minute of the game Rikard Hansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sköldinge's Samuel Eliasson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Smålandsstenar IFK's Rikard Hansson in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sköldinge's goalie prevented a goal. Ian Wik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Eliasson having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Rikard Hansson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Samuel Eliasson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Samuel Eliasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Wik in the 79th minute of the match. Samuel Eliasson came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Smålandsstenar IFK's Ian Wik. But to his dismay, Ian Wik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Dick Björk might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Börje Apelqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dick Björk ran back to his position shaking his head. Rikard Hansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel Eliasson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Dick Björk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sköldinge's supporters rose to their feet, but Dick Björk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Börje Apelqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sköldinge's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
