Walter Björk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Holger Wall in the 6th minute. Ingvar Asserlindh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Walter Björk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivar Jonsson hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Verner Uter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stensele IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Verner Uter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Holger Wall dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Walter Björk, 1-0. Verner Uter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Rudberg having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Sjövik FF's goal looked a bit too open when Anders Jernberg came free, but Robert Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Anders Jernberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stensele IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Anders Jernberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Rudberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Verner Uter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Stensele IK booed when Sjövik FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ragnar Bern didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Anders Jernberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Rudberg was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Walter Björk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Asserlindh in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Sjövik FF's goal looked a bit too open when Verner Uter came free, but Robert Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ingvar Asserlindh to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Ragnar Bern shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Björk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walter Björk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Asserlindh in the 65th minute of the match. Ingvar Asserlindh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Björk having to interfere. Sjövik FF's Robert Rudberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Sjövik FF from getting a goal against them. Anders Jernberg was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Stensele IK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Stensele IK's Walter Björk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Asserlindh in the 90th minute of play. Walter Björk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Asserlindh in the 93rd minute of play. Sjövik FF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
