If Wiktor Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerry Bennet was extremely unlucky when he, in the 19th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The crowd rose to their feet as Wiktor Nordström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Felix Kilman. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. Isac Zachrisson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herman Gustafsson in the 26th minute of play. Evert Arenius's late challenge caught a Lycke's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evert Arenius helped the player get up and apologised. Evert Arenius kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 34th minute Ingemar Lundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Zachrisson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evert Arenius hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Isac Zachrisson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingemar Lundberg in the 35th minute of play. Isac Zachrisson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingemar Lundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The supporters of Lycke booed when Älandsbro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evert Arenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ingemar Lundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isac Zachrisson having to interfere. Jerry Bennets short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Felix Kilman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ingemar Lundberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Lycke's Ingemar Lundberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 61st minute, Herman Gustafsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd match minute, Älandsbro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Smitt to maneuver through the defense. After 70 minutes of play, Älandsbro's Jerry Bennet made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felix Kilman was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herman Gustafsson during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Herman Gustafsson was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 83 played minutes Lycke got a freekick which was hit by Herman Gustafsson. In the 83rd minute, John Olsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lycke's Felix Kilman didn't even have to move. 86 minutes into the match, Lycke's goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Bennet came free, but Felix Kilman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ingemar Lundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kjell Hellström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Kjell Hellström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lycke's supporters rose to their feet, but Kjell Hellström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isac Zachrisson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lycke's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
