The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rune Apelquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Inge Widberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rune Apelquist having to make a save. The supporters of Höljes booed when Grödinge RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell Lind didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kim Axelsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elliott Österlund took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kim Axelsson. Kim Axelsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The supporters of Höljes booed when Grödinge RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Brandin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Höljes's Hubert Svanberg got a free kick in the 80th minute. Sven-Åke Strömbom took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rune Apelquist. Höljes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Grödinge RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Vikström to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Alvar Joensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute of the match, Elliott Österlund got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kim Axelsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
