The referee gave Lenhovda a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jens-Ove Näfver, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Trehörningsjö's Fredrik Wennerqvist. 0-1. Michel Lennartsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fredrik Wennerqvist having to make a save. Jan-Åke Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Spets in the 32nd minute of the match. Ted Dahlquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jan-Åke Lindgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Inge Björling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, one of Lenhovda:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lenhovda. The goalkeeper, Jan-Åke Lindgren, was totally fooled by Trehörningsjö's Gösta Bark, who 40 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 45th minute Lars Bure shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Wennerqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lars Bure to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 68th minute, Michel Lennartsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Dahlquist in the 72nd minute of play forced Lenhovda's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Lindgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ted Dahlquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ted Dahlquist struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Trehörningsjö's Ted Dahlquist in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lenhovda's goalie prevented a goal. Michel Lennartsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredrik Wennerqvist having to interfere. Jan-Åke Lindgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kevin Spets went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score.
