Roger Alströmmer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jarl Lundström. Lessebo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Börge Bennet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarl Lundström having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Lessebo's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Levander came free, but Jarl Lundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tomas Levander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th match minute, Jävrebyn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Alströmmer to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Lessebo booed when Jävrebyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Thidén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Levander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peter Strandberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oskar Back having to interfere. Jävrebyn's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Henrik Finnman scored to the left of an out of position Oskar Back, making the score, 2-1. In the 41st minute Henrik Finnman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oskar Back saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Börge Bennet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Åke Fribäck kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Strandberg in the 68th managed to get into a good position. Jarl Lundström was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Tomas Levander capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomas Levander really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. In the 83rd minute, Kjell Gråberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Levander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Lundström hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Lessebo succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Jävrebyn had controlled the match.
