Leonardo Björnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Einar Rosendahl in the 8th minute of play. Sven-Ove Jansson took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Ekström. David Ekström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Sven-Ove Jansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. David Ekström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Ove Lindholm's late challenge caught a Degerfors BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 21stth minute of the game Arne Vacker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Väröbacka BK's David Ekström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Väröbacka BK's zone, Sven-Ove Jansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Ekström came out of the goal and Sven-Ove Jansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonardo Björnsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kaj Ivarsson in the 26th minute. In the 33rd minute Sven-Ove Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Ekström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Björnsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Einar Rosendahl's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Degerfors BF! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arne Vacker to strike the kick off in the second half. When Edward Mårtensson came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Väröbacka BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Mårtensson couldn't finish the play. Arne Vacker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. David Ekström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Sven-Ove Jansson made a precise shot to the right of David Ekström. Väröbacka BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 58 minutes into the game, Arne Vacker recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of David Ekström. Arne Vacker showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Sven-Ove Jansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. David Ekström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Degerfors BF's zone, Kaj Ivarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Björnsson came out of the goal and Kaj Ivarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Väröbacka BK's Kaj Ivarsson in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Degerfors BF's goalie prevented a goal. David Ekström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Ove Jansson in the 76th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaj Ivarsson in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Björnsson saved Degerfors BF from getting behind. In the 78th minute Einar Rosendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Björnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arne Vacker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Ekström having to interfere. Degerfors BF's attack was well implemented in the 88th minute, but when Arne Vacker was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Edward Mårtensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Väröbacka BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Edward Mårtensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Björnsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Kaj Ivarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
