In the 6thth minute of the game Einar Bengtsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sävar's Jakob Söderquist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Ola Ahlkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sävar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Figeholm IFK the free kick. When Sture Lund came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Figeholm IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sture Lund couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Osvald Smefeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sävar's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvald Smefeldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Björkman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Sture Lund could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Jakob Söderquist however easily saved by the left post. Figeholm IFK's Fred Björkman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredric Nyman in the 23rd minute of play. If Fredric Nyman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvald Smefeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Fred Björkman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvald Smefeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Sture Lund fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 42nd minute Fredric Nyman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Björkman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredric Nyman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Björkman having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Einar Bengtsson to make the kick off. Figeholm IFK's Fred Björkman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Figeholm IFK from getting a goal against them. When Sture Lund came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Figeholm IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sture Lund couldn't finish the play. If Einar Bengtsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Figeholm IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Osvald Smefeldt came free, but Fred Björkman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Einar Bengtsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rudolf Källberg hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Osvald Smefeldt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fred Björkman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Carl Åström kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvald Smefeldt in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fred Björkman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Osvald Smefeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Elof Uter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute Einar Bengtsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jakob Söderquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Sävar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The Sävar players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
