Oxie IFK's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Gunnarn BF. In the 8th minute, Gert Abrahamsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stig Jönsätt's late challenge caught a Gunnarn BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig Jönsätt helped the player get up and apologised. Stig Jönsätt hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Douglas Vik got free with Gunnar Ros in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the match, Oxie IFK's Magnus Sandwall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gunnar Ros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Magnus Sandwall got free with Gunnar Ros in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gunnarn BF's Gunnar Ros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Gunnarn BF from getting a goal against them. Magnus Sandwall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Gunnar Ros made a huge save. Gunnar Ros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Holger Blomqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Holger Blomqvist came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Oxie IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Holger Blomqvist couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Magnus Sandwall got free with Gunnar Ros in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the game, Douglas Vik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oxie IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gunnarn BF the free kick. After 36 played minutes Oxie IFK got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Vik. If Holger Blomqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Magnus Sandwall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Ros having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Holger Blomqvist to make the kick off. A hard shot 52 in the game by William Smitt from a close distance when the talented Morgan Sjöman managed to make a qualified save. Oxie IFK's players were relieved. Gunnar Ros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Holger Blomqvist in the 58th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eskil Boström during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The corner ended in Mattias Westerberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Oxie IFK's Morgan Sjöman did a great save. In the 82nd minute, Gunnarn BF's Gert Abrahamsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Morgan Sjöman. Morgan Sjöman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. In the 89thth minute of the game Bengt-Åke Sundström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oxie IFK's Morgan Sjöman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
