The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Sjöberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Roland Apelkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Ekeberg was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 26 minutes into the game, Djursholm's Roland Apelkvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Ekeberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Villiam Samuelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Sjöberg in the 30th minute of the match. When Gösta Spets fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mellösa IF's protests and gave Gösta Spets a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute Roland Apelkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Ekeberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
