Tord Thedin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivar Kvick went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Albin Beneth made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 12thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Kurt Bergkvist would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. If Albin Beneth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Berggren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albin Beneth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Bergkvist having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bengt-Arne Blomkvist during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rasmus Christoffersson to make the kick off.
