After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Malte Ekgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Degerfors RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Malte Ekgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marc Eklund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sundbyberg's Marc Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malte Ekgren in the 12th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Gustaf Linqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Degerfors RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaf Linqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sundbyberg's Edward Harlén got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sundbyberg's Marc Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaf Linqvist in the 22nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rudolf Knutsson during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Degerfors RK booed when Sundbyberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolf Knutsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Fredrik Vallman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Fredrik Runberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sundbyberg's Marc Eklund didn't even have to move. In the 27th minute, Rikard Nilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Degerfors RK's Timmy Västerberg got a free kick in the 34th minute. Martin Tholsson was a little too slow when Sven-Åke Bengtsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 1-0. When Edward Harlén came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Sundbyberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Harlén couldn't finish the play. Martin Tholsson was a little too slow when Edward Harlén got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some careless play in the Degerfors RK defense, Sven-Åke Bengtsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Tholsson. The Degerfors RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Tholsson should have stopped the shot. Edward Harlén struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Martin Tholsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sundbyberg. In the 62nd minute, Isaac Deckberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sven-Åke Bengtsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sundbyberg booed when Degerfors RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Deckberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Edward Harlén came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Sundbyberg fans jumped to their feet. Gustaf Linqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Eklund having to interfere. In the 85th match minute, Sundbyberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredrik Vallman to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaf Linqvist got free with Marc Eklund in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute, Sven-Åke Bengtsson made a precise shot to the right of Martin Tholsson. Degerfors RK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Sundbyberg's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
