After 11 played minutes, Björnlunda's Pål Harlén shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Krister Västlund came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Björnlunda reached it. Björnlunda's Arne Deckberg got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arne Deckberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krister Västlund having to interfere. In the 41st minute Yngve Sjöberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krister Västlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Allan Stenquist got free with Matthias Wennerquist in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Evert Viberg made the kick off in the second half. Allan Stenquist hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Allan Stenquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Björnlunda getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Pål Harlén hit a great ball. Krister Västlund made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Arne Deckberg sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Rasmus Hellkvist took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Krister Västlund to make any attempt to save it. If Evert Viberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Stenquist in the 92nd minute of play forced Björnlunda's goalkeeper Matthias Wennerquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Björnlunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yngve Sjöberg to maneuver through the defense. If Rasmus Hellkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
