Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Torsten Bratt kicked off to start the match. Christer Lundin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jan Palm firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 7 minutes Bredbyn's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sonny Hernström who took care of the corner kick. Vemdalen IF's Sonny Hernström was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jan Palm in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jan-Åke Månsson's late challenge caught a Vemdalen IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan-Åke Månsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, Bredbyn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Åke Månsson to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Vemdalen IF's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Åke Månsson came free, but Joar Berggren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folke Kruuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jan Palm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bredbyn's goalkeeper Jan Palm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bredbyn's Torsten Bratt got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Christer Lundin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vemdalen IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Christer Lundin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Palm having to interfere. Folke Kruuse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Palm having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Torsten Bratt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bredbyn's supporters rose to their feet, but Torsten Bratt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joar Berggren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joar Berggren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torsten Bratt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Folke Kruuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jan Palm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Folke Kruuse to strike the kick off in the second half. Folke Kruuse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nils-Erik Ek kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Vemdalen IF's goalkeeper Joar Berggren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Åke Månsson. The supporters of Vemdalen IF booed when Bredbyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Holger Nässén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vemdalen IF's Sonny Hernström couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bredbyn. In the 74th match minute, Bredbyn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Holger Nässén to maneuver through the defense. When Holger Nässén fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bredbyn's protests and gave Holger Nässén a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Holger Nässén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Vemdalen IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bredbyn:s goal. Torsten Bratt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Joar Berggren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Christer Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bredbyn's Jan Palm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Kruuse in the 94th minute of play. Folke Kruuse scored 2-1 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Palm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vemdalen IF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
