Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Patrik Linberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vemdalen IF's zone, Patrik Linberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joar Berggren came out of the goal and Patrik Linberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joar Berggren came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Tvärred's Sture Klemensson. But to his dismay, Sture Klemensson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When Sture Klemensson came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Tvärred fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sture Klemensson couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Vemdalen IF booed when Tvärred was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig Lundberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute of the match Sonny Hernström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Inge Östman skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Vemdalen IF getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tomas Norberg hit a great ball. Christer Lundin got in the 20th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Inge Östman handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Christer Lundin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Inge Östman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inge Östman came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Vemdalen IF's Folke Kruuse. But to his dismay, Folke Kruuse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 29 minutes, Joel Mattsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vemdalen IF and the Tvärred players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joel Mattsson hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Kjell-Arne Åhman hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute Patrik Linberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joar Berggren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christer Lundin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Inge Östman having to make a save. Folke Kruuse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inge Östman having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Folke Kruuse made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Tvärred getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Sune Bergman hit a great ball. Vemdalen IF's Christer Lundin got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Folke Kruuse in the 56th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Inge Östman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christer Lundin in the 58th minute. Vemdalen IF's Folke Kruuse got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sture Klemensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Tvärred. Stig Lundberg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joar Berggren. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrik Linberg in the 93rd minute of play forced Vemdalen IF's goalkeeper Joar Berggren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joar Berggren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrik Linberg in the 94th minute of the match. If Patrik Linberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tvärred's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
