Alf Kellbom started the match with the kick off. Arvin Tunberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Erik Westerstrand having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Kjell-Arne Bålström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Nybro IF's Kjell-Arne Bålström got a free kick in the 9th minute. Arvin Tunberg scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl-Erik Westerstrand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Nybro IF getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Wiktor Nordal hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alf Kellbom in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tim Blom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 29 minutes into the match, Oskarström IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Axelsson came free, but Tim Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kent Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Blom having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Nybro IF's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Westerstrand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arvin Tunberg. Kent Axelsson scored 2-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Blom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute, Alf Kellbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tim Blom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Kellbom in the 44th minute of the match. If Alf Kellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Håkan Brenner to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes, Nybro IF's Karl-Oskar Åkerberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tim Blom came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nybro IF reached it. Håkan Brenner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Erik Westerstrand having to interfere. The supporters of Oskarström IFK booed when Nybro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Karlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arvin Tunberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tim Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Kellbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Tim Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Kellbom in the 66th minute of play. Arvin Tunberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Erik Westerstrand having to interfere. With a little luck, Oskarström IFK's Tim Blom got control of the ball when Kent Axelsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 71 minutes, Magnus Gustafsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oskarström IFK and the Nybro IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Magnus Gustafsson hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Oskarström IFK's goalkeeper Tim Blom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kent Axelsson. Alf Kellbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Blom having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christer Hamberg during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 81 minutes into the game, one of Oskarström IFK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Oskarström IFK:s Tim Blom showed great skill when he stopped Urban Mossberg:s penalty. Tim Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Axelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Zebastian Rosendal charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zebastian Rosendal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes Oskarström IFK got a freekick which was hit by Zebastian Rosendal. 85 minutes into the match, Urban Mossberg sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Tim Blom threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Urban Mossberg this time. 91 minutes into the match, Oskarström IFK's Arvin Tunberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl-Erik Westerstrand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Oskarström IFK's Arvin Tunberg in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nybro IF's goalie prevented a goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
