In the 9th match minute, Fågelmara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tage Österlund to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Nils-Erik Holmgren made a precise shot to the right of Sonny Gunnarsson. Fågelmara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tidaholm's Harry Wahlnäs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Tidaholm from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Tidaholm's zone, Bernt Martinsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Wahlnäs came out of the goal and Bernt Martinsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Einar Lidberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tidaholm's Harry Wahlnäs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Martinsson in the 29th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Tidaholm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yngve Adelsköld to maneuver through the defense. When Bernt Martinsson came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Fågelmara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernt Martinsson couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Harry Wahlnäs made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Harry Wahlnäs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Einar Lidberg in the 91st minute of the match. Tidaholm's Nils-Erik Holmgren got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Kurt Harlén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yngve Adelsköld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Gunnarsson having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tidaholm walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
