The Tjällmo IF fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Tjällmo IF's Sigvard Grelsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sigvard Grelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Lägdin having to interfere. Sigvard Grelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Tibro FK booed when Tjällmo IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Möllgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. When August Lönn came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Tibro FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that August Lönn couldn't finish the play. Tomas Forsberg struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Axel Fogel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tibro FK. 22 minutes into the match, Tjällmo IF's goal looked a bit too open when Jörn Bergqvist came free, but Axel Fogel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes Tjällmo IF got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Ahlbeck. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Ahlbeck during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomas Forsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Axel Fogel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sigvard Grelsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Tomas Forsberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Sigvard Grelsson came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Tjällmo IF fans jumped to their feet. In the 69th minute, Andy Bollström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sten Lägdin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. A collision led to Tjällmo IF getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Karl-Axel Landin hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Lennart Sörman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sten Lägdin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigvard Grelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Lennart Sörman hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Thomas Möllgren shot from long distance in the 82nd minute, but Sten Lägdin was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Jörn Bergqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axel Fogel having to interfere. If Sigvard Grelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tjällmo IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
