Verner Vallengren came out of the goal and Henning Kolberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Verner Vallengren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henning Kolberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 17 minutes of play, Brandstorp's Mikael Lindberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Verner Vallengren was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute Sonny Gunnarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Verner Vallengren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mikael Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Frisk got free with Ivan Lindqvist in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sonny Gunnarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Paul Frisk scored 1-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Lindqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ulf Hedkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ivan Lindqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Långshyttan IK's Paul Frisk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivan Lindqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After 82 minutes, Sören Molin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Långshyttan IK and the Brandstorp players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Brandstorp's zone, Paul Frisk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Lindqvist came out of the goal and Paul Frisk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henning Kolberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Verner Vallengren came out and tried to block the shot, but Henning Kolberg slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 93rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sonny Gunnarsson during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 98th minute, Sonny Gunnarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
