Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Brian Bogren took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bengt-Arne Johansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdemar Nyman's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Frans Bengtsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gamleby IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Frans Bengtsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zebastian Svensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brian Bogren hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erland Henriksson during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tommy Westerberg made a great header on Gamleby IFK's corner, it was just that Motala's Zebastian Svensson managed to reach the ball for a save. Zebastian Svensson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christopher Pihl's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After 30 minutes, Robin Olsman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gamleby IFK and the Motala players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Brian Bogren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valdemar Nyman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Gamleby IFK's Karl-Axel Askestät got a free kick in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Brian Bogren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Motala's supporters rose to their feet, but Brian Bogren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt-Arne Johansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Westerberg hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Thor Billström was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bengt-Arne Johansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christopher Johnsson in the 41st minute of the match. With a little luck, Motala's Zebastian Svensson got control of the ball when Frans Bengtsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christopher Pihl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Brian Bogren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian Bogren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Motala's zone, Frans Bengtsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zebastian Svensson came out of the goal and Frans Bengtsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carl Westerberg hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frans Bengtsson in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zebastian Svensson saved Motala from getting behind. Zebastian Svensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frans Bengtsson in the 70th minute of the match. Valdemar Nyman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Bengt-Arne Johansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Valdemar Nyman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 83 minutes, Valdemar Nyman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdemar Nyman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Valdemar Nyman came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Motala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdemar Nyman couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the game, Sebastian Ferm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Motala's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gamleby IFK the free kick. Frans Bengtsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdemar Nyman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bengt-Arne Johansson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Christopher Pihl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zebastian Svensson having to interfere. Bengt-Arne Johansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Bogren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Motala eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
