After having played for 3 minutes, Brian Bogren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian Bogren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdemar Nyman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Kjell Nordström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vedum's Peter Törnqvist got a free kick in the 14th minute. Valdemar Nyman succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 17th playminute. Valdemar Nyman hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Brian Bogren had several of the Vedum's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 22 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Kjell Nordström as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 28th minute Billy Runeberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zebastian Svensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Vedum's Kjell Nordström got control of the ball when Valdemar Nyman tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Vedum's zone, Aron Bergkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjell Nordström came out of the goal and Aron Bergkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vedum's Kjell Nordström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Vedum from getting a goal against them. Kjell Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Bogren in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Brian Bogren made the kick off in the second half. Zebastian Svensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Tunström in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vedum's Stig Svensson got a free kick in the 70th minute. After having played for 75 minutes, Valdemar Nyman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdemar Nyman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Billy Runeberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vedum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Motala the free kick. Billy Runeberg kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Motala's goalkeeper Zebastian Svensson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Billy Runeberg. Brian Bogren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Kjell Nordström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Aron Bergkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Motala's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
