In the 3rd minute, Ulf Ivarsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elof Mårtensson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 6 minutes into the game, Bo-Erik Palm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Särö IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ankarsvik the free kick. The supporters of Ankarsvik booed when Särö IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Kjellkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elof Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Ivarsson in the 18th minute of play. Elof Mårtensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Ivarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Ulf Ivarsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kim Gustafsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kennet Hasselqvist in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elof Mårtensson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the match, Särö IF's Kennet Hasselqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elof Mårtensson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ankarsvik's Sebastian Aleberg got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Elof Mårtensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kennet Hasselqvist in the 42nd minute of the match. After 45 minutes of play, Särö IF's Ulf Ivarsson made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elof Mårtensson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Särö IF were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kennet Hasselqvist to make the kick off. Elof Mårtensson made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Ulf Ivarsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 52nd match minute, Ankarsvik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Mogren to maneuver through the defense. Ivar Sandberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfons Nordlund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivar Sandberg ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute, Ulf Ivarsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elof Mårtensson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 62 minutes into the match, Ankarsvik's goal looked a bit too open when Kennet Hasselqvist came free, but Elof Mårtensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulf Ivarsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Elof Mårtensson made a huge save. Kennet Hasselqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfons Nordlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivar Sandberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Ivar Sandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Alfons Nordlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kennet Hasselqvist in the 92nd minute of play forced Ankarsvik's goalkeeper Elof Mårtensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roger Petersson's late challenge caught a Särö IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roger Petersson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Roger Petersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulf Ivarssons short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Elof Mårtensson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Ankarsvik supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Särö IF's performance. The match ended with a win for Särö IF.
