An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Rolfsson in the 26th minute of play forced Molkom RK's goalkeeper Per Torstensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ingemar Hedlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Torstensson having to interfere. Per Torstensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Rolfsson in the 36th minute of play. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

56 minutes into the game, Ingemar Hedlund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Per Torstensson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 62 played minutes Molkom RK got a freekick which was hit by Herman Hägert. 66 minutes into the match, Molkom RK's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Rolfsson came free, but Per Torstensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Wallin charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Wallin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Per Torstensson made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Ingemar Hedlund sent off a good shot on target. Ture Sjödin's late challenge caught a Molkom RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ture Sjödin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Molkom RK. Tord Rudberg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Georg Ek. 2-2.
