Mårten Wik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ola Gustavsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ola Gustavsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Leif Lang fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mangskog IFK's protests and gave Leif Lang a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Mangskog IFK's Leif Lang got a free kick in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Ola Gustavsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mårten Wik. Mangskog IFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ola Gustavsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Mangskog IFK's Mårten Wik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Sundling in the 14th minute of play. Mårten Wik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ola Gustavsson in the 15th minute of the match. A collision led to Mangskog IFK getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Leif Lang hit a great ball. The supporters of Mangskog IFK booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Strömqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bo Moberg's late challenge caught a FC Barcelona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo Moberg helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Barcelona booed when Mangskog IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Stensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Barcelona's Eric Strömqvist couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mangskog IFK. 32 minutes into the match, Mangskog IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Sundling came free, but Mårten Wik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ola Gustavsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kurt Sundling in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mårten Wik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mangskog IFK's Daniel Hybbert got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ola Gustavsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mårten Wik having to interfere. After the first half FC Barcelona were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Christoffer Mager kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Knut Apelquist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Kurt Sundling managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Barcelona's supporters rose to their feet, but Kurt Sundling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mårten Wik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Eric Strömqvist hit a great ball. In the 65th minute Ola Gustavsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mårten Wik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Knut Apelquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Östlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. A collision led to Mangskog IFK getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Leif Lang hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mangskog IFK's zone, Kurt Sundling stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mårten Wik came out of the goal and Kurt Sundling tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kurt Sundling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes, Kurt Sundling made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Mangskog IFK's Mårten Wik tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Mangskog IFK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Barcelona were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
