Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claes Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Hernström in the 11th minute of the match. Charlie Palmkvist hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Arne Melanders short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Claes Lindgren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Joachim Bengtsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Biörk in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match Ingvar Helberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claes Lindgren skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Bålsta getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gustaf Göransson hit a great ball. Albin Holm, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Claes Lindgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Hernström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Henry Nordal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The tension between the FC Amstel and the Bålsta players grew even worse after the yellow card. With his leg Claes Lindgren managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Bålsta's Arne Melander fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. FC Amstel's Claes Lindgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Hernström in the 42nd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Arne Sundin made a kick off. Adam Hernström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Lindgren having to interfere.
