Roy Öman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Billy Lagerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dag Wallin in the 9th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Borgholm's goalkeeper Jonas Dahlquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roy Öman. If Petter Gadd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 28 minutes, Stig Möller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lansjärv FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig Möller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roy Öman struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Jonas Dahlquist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lansjärv FF. A collision led to Borgholm getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Herbert Colin hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Kristoffer Moberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonas Dahlquist skillfully saved the ball. Billy Lagerberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dag Wallin in the 37th minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Lansjärv FF got a freekick which was hit by Stig Möller.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jimmy Sundin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Petter Gadd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borgholm's supporters rose to their feet, but Petter Gadd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Billy Lagerberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Billy Lagerberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jonas Dahlquist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roy Öman went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Billy Lagerberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petter Gadd in the 65th minute. In the 73rd minute Roy Öman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Dahlquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 played minutes Borgholm got a freekick which was hit by Pontus Pååk. When Dag Wallin came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Borgholm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dag Wallin couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Lansjärv FF's zone, Petter Gadd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Billy Lagerberg came out of the goal and Petter Gadd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jimmy Sundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roy Öman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jonas Dahlquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
