The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Bredbyn IK fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Bredbyn IK's Niklas Nordkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 42nd minute of the match Tygelsjö got a corner. Bredbyn IK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gösta Hansson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gösta Hansson made a great header on Tygelsjö's corner, it was just that Bredbyn IK's Mark Bergman managed to reach the ball for a save. Konrad Siöman kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niklas Nordkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Magnus Ahlqvist in the 77th minute of play forced Bredbyn IK's goalkeeper Mark Bergman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Björn Sandström came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Bredbyn IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Björn Sandström couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Magnus Ahlqvist in the 82nd minute of play forced Bredbyn IK's goalkeeper Mark Bergman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Tygelsjö defense, Niklas Nordkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fritz Bjurström. The Tygelsjö fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fritz Bjurström should have stopped the shot. Fritz Bjurström made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Niklas Nordkvist sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd match minute, Bredbyn IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stellan Springfält to maneuver through the defense. The Bredbyn IK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bredbyn IK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
