Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eric Lagerberg kicked off to start the match. If Arne Åkesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 minutes of play, Varnhem BK's Arne Åkesson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olov Beneth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fred Smefeldt charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fred Smefeldt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 13 minutes into the match, Töreboda's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Termander came free, but Olov Beneth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Varnhem BK defense, Fred Smefeldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emil Arhenius. The Varnhem BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emil Arhenius should have stopped the shot. Felix Torsberg hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Jerry Helberg's shot from long distance in the 22nd minute was not bad at all, but Varnhem BK's Emil Arhenius knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Olov Beneth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Termander in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Varnhem BK. Sten Lidström stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Olov Beneth. 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sten Lidström during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, one of Varnhem BK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Varnhem BK. The supporters of Töreboda booed when Varnhem BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunnar Sundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eric Lagerberg in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emil Arhenius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eric Lagerberg struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Emil Arhenius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Töreboda.
The wind increased when Arne Åkesson made the kick off in the second half. If Alvin Alebom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Eric Lagerberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emil Arhenius was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Alvin Alebom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emil Arhenius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Robert Termander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Töreboda's goalkeeper Olov Beneth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emil Arhenius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Lagerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Töreboda's goalkeeper Olov Beneth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Termander. Alvin Alebom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Arhenius having to interfere. Arne Åkesson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
