The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Hallstahammar defense, Karl-Michael Svanér kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jens-Åke Viklund. The Hallstahammar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jens-Åke Viklund should have stopped the shot. Jörgen Hedkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Storuman's Eric Thorsberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jens-Åke Viklund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 11 minutes into the match, Storuman's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Hedkvist came free, but Ivar Matsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Karl-Michael Svanér ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jens-Åke Viklund was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Jens-Åke Viklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Michael Svanér, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Eric Thorsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Åke Viklund having to interfere. When Karl-Michael Svanér came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Storuman fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Michael Svanér couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Jörgen Hedkvist took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Ivar Matsson to make any attempt to save it. If Eric Thorsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Nils Sävström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 37th minute, Nicklas Söderkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jörgen Hedkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivar Matsson having to interfere. Eric Thorsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half Storuman were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jörgen Hedkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. Georg Lind lost his temper 56 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Storuman:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hallstahammar:s goal. Ivar Matsson had in the 59thth minute some difficulties stopping Villiam Ström's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a long run with the ball, Villiam Ström did a trick in the 59th minute in front of Storuman's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-3. An impressive performance by Hallstahammar's Villiam Ström! After 64 minutes of play, Storuman's Karl-Michael Svanér made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jens-Åke Viklund was left in no man's land by his defense there! Karl-Michael Svanér could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Jens-Åke Viklund made a huge save. Karl-Michael Svanérs short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Jens-Åke Viklund to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Göran Jansson hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Ivar Matsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörgen Hedkvist in the 73rd minute of the match. After 74 played minutes Storuman got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Olof Hökqvist. In the 76th minute, Karl-Michael Svanér fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Sven-Olof Hökqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joachim Björnsson hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the match, Karl-Michael Svanér notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Hallstahammar's Jens-Åke Viklund. Jens-Åke Viklund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Karl-Michael Svanér might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jens-Åke Viklund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Michael Svanér ran back to his position shaking his head. Ivar Matsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Sävström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hallstahammar's goalkeeper Jens-Åke Viklund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jörgen Hedkvist struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ivar Matsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hallstahammar. Ivar Matsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Sävström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Storuman players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
