Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Robert Lidman got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Brandstorp IF's Tage Thidén got control of the ball when Hans Kvarnström tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Brandstorp IF getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Sven-Åke Bollström hit a great ball. Hans Kvarnström took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tage Thidén. Tage Thidén dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Robert Lidman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Edgar Davids tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henry Biörkman's late challenge caught a Brandstorp IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henry Biörkman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Brandstorp IF booed when Владимир Путин BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Biörkman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tage Thidén made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Hans Kvarnström sent off a good shot on target. If Robert Lidman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the game, Richard Paulin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Владимир Путин BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brandstorp IF the free kick. Richard Paulin kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Владимир Путин BK's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Lidman came free, but Edgar Davids reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernt Olofsson to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Владимир Путин BK were awarded a corner. Michael Löfgren went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience was convinced that Bernt Olofsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tage Thidén was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Robert Lidman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edgar Davids. That made the score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. Agne Fernström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Davids having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Владимир Путин BK's Bernt Olofsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tage Thidén made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Brandstorp IF's zone, Bernt Olofsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tage Thidén came out of the goal and Bernt Olofsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Владимир Путин BK's Bernt Olofsson got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd match minute, Владимир Путин BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arman Sandberg to maneuver through the defense. Arman Sandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Tage Thidén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tage Thidén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernt Olofsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Bernt Olofsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hans Kvarnström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernt Olofsson in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tage Thidén prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 89 played minutes Владимир Путин BK got a freekick which was hit by Arman Sandberg. In the 95th minute, Agne Fernström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Владимир Путин BK players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
