Robert Lidman struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Ivan Lind didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brandstorp IF. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malcolm Björklund in the 29th minute of play forced Brandstorp IF's goalkeeper Tage Thidén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Lidman in the 34th minute of play. If Robert Lidman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Nils-Åke Wik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robert Lidman to make the kick off. Ivan Lind took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Lidman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agne Fernström in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Lind prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Robert Lidman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivan Lind was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Ivan Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agne Fernström in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Brandstorp IF booed when Röstånga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Gabrielsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute Malcolm Björklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Thidén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Röstånga's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stig-Åke Näfver in the 67th minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Malcolm Björklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Röstånga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Malcolm Björklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brandstorp IF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
