The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frans Sjöberg during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Frans Sjöberg kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Thomas Jönsätt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pär Fribäck in the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Patric Qvalfeldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Såtenäs's Pär Fribäck in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Malmö FF's goalie prevented a goal. Såtenäs's Frank Norström shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 12th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Thomas Jönsätt but with some difficulty. Pär Fribäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Thomas Jönsätt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute Isaac Vollander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Wenerdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Otto Jansson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thomas Jönsätt skillfully saved the ball. Albert Åhlberg struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Thomas Jönsätt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Såtenäs. 29 minutes into the match, Patric Qvalfeldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Jönsätt. Malmö FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patric Qvalfeldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 33 minutes into the match, Såtenäs's Patric Qvalfeldt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomas Jönsätt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Såtenäs's zone, Frans Törnqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rickard Wenerdahl came out of the goal and Frans Törnqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kurt Karlstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Patric Qvalfeldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Thomas Jönsätt made a huge save. Patric Qvalfeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patric Qvalfeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Thomas Jönsätt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

In the 52nd minute Pär Fribäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Jönsätt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Malmö FF's goal looked a bit too open when Patric Qvalfeldt came free, but Thomas Jönsätt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Såtenäs getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Frank Norström hit a great ball. When Såtenäs's Patric Qvalfeldt in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Pär Fribäck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Såtenäs's supporters rose to their feet, but Pär Fribäck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Jönsätt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Malmö FF's Thomas Jönsätt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Karlstedt in the 69th minute of play. If Patric Qvalfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Malmö FF got a freekick which was hit by Ronny Smefeldt. Thomas Jönsätt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pär Fribäck's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. If Pär Fribäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Såtenäs's Pär Fribäck got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rickard Wenerdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frans Törnqvist in the 79th minute of play.
