The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Walter Abelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Sivert Botvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Söderlund in the 9th minute of play forced Skutskär's goalkeeper Sivert Botvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sivert Botvidsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Söderlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Skutskär's Sven-Edvin Forsberg got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anton Lövkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Dalkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Jens-Åke Holmgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kent Söderlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sivert Botvidsson having to interfere. Skutskär's Sivert Botvidsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Skutskär from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Per-Åke Qvarnström could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Sivert Botvidsson however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Sven-Edvin Forsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skutskär's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Edvin Forsberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Lövkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Skutskär booed when Elias FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Åke Qvarnström didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Elias FC's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Dalkvist came free, but Anton Lövkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Edvin Forsberg got free with Anton Lövkvist in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sivert Botvidsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Söderlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 64th minute, Sven-Edvin Forsberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skutskär fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Sivert Botvidsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Abelsson in the 72nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Skutskär defense, Kent Söderlund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sivert Botvidsson. The Skutskär fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sivert Botvidsson should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Elias FC's zone, Sven-Edvin Forsberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Lövkvist came out of the goal and Sven-Edvin Forsberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Abelsson in the 88th minute of play forced Skutskär's goalkeeper Sivert Botvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walter Abelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Walter Abelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Elias FC were the better team. Elias FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
