Torbjörn Qvalfeldt acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 7th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Henning Ugla. After 8 played minutes Koppom got a freekick which was hit by Claes Holm. Erland Torsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Arne Biörling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ingvar Kjellman sped through Koppom's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Torbjörn Qvalfeldt. In the 22nd match minute, Koppom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Holm to maneuver through the defense. Vedevåg FF's Henning Ugla couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Koppom. Torbjörn Qvalfeldt made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Ingvar Kjellman sent off a good shot on target. Ingvar Kjellman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ingvar Kjellman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Koppom's Torbjörn Qvalfeldt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Koppom from getting a goal against them. Inge Paulin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Koppom's Torbjörn Qvalfeldt got control of the ball when Sven-Ove Gustavsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Torbjörn Qvalfeldt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Paulin in the 53rd minute of play. Inge Paulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torbjörn Qvalfeldt having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Koppom's goal looked a bit too open when Inge Paulin came free, but Torbjörn Qvalfeldt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Vedevåg FF fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Vedevåg FF's Ingvar Kjellman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Inge Paulin might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Torbjörn Qvalfeldt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Inge Paulin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th match minute, Vedevåg FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Axel Rolfsson to maneuver through the defense. Torbjörn Qvalfeldt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Paulin, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Torbjörn Qvalfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inge Paulin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
