The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Sätet SK's goal looked a bit too open when Christer Kilberg came free, but Georg Burman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Sätet SK booed when Oxelösund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Nordal didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Karl-Oskar Johnsson came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Sätet SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Oskar Johnsson couldn't finish the play. Jon Biörnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Lennartsson in the 22nd minute of play. In the last second Jon Biörnberg throw himself and got hold of the ball when Richard Lennartsson in the 23rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The Sätet SK fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Sätet SK's Karl-Oskar Johnsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Karl-Oskar Johnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 played minutes Sätet SK got a freekick which was hit by August Beneth. In the 41st minute, Richard Lennartsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Sätet SK defense, Sakarias Häll kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Burman. The Sätet SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Burman should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute, Åke Åkerström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christer Kilberg to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Karl-Oskar Johnsson put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jon Biörnberg. Jon Biörnberg came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Sätet SK's Richard Lennartsson. But to his dismay, Richard Lennartsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Åke Åkerström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jon Biörnberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Lennartsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When Sätet SK's Richard Lennartsson in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. August Beneth hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Jon Biörnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Lennartsson in the 90th minute of play.
