Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Freddie Nordin took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes in the game, Jens-Ola Lundin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Henry Benett having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Hans Westerberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henry Benett was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Henry Benett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Westerberg in the 11th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Hans Westerberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Henry Benett. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hans Westerberg in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henry Benett saved Smålandsstenar IK from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Alnö's zone, Egil Kihlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingmar Vidman came out of the goal and Egil Kihlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ingmar Vidman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddie Nordin in the 24th minute of play. With a little luck, Smålandsstenar IK's Henry Benett got control of the ball when Hans Westerberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Hans Westerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens-Ola Lundin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry Benett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Olof Jansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd match minute, Smålandsstenar IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Söderberg to maneuver through the defense. If Jens-Ola Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egon Vestberg shot from long distance in the 48th minute, but Henry Benett was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hans Westerberg was the one to do the kick off. Henry Benett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Westerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jens-Ola Lundin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henry Benett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Westerberg's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. After 58 minutes of play, Alnö's Hans Westerberg made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henry Benett was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ola Lundin in the 61st minute of play forced Smålandsstenar IK's goalkeeper Henry Benett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Freddie Nordin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Smålandsstenar IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddie Nordin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingmar Vidman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 67 minutes into the game, Sven-Åke Tingberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alnö's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Smålandsstenar IK the free kick. The supporters of Smålandsstenar IK booed when Alnö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Åke Tingberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hans Westerberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Olof Jansson came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Alnö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olof Jansson couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the match, Alnö's goal looked a bit too open when Freddie Nordin came free, but Ingmar Vidman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jens-Ola Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 92nd minute Hans Westerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Benett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerry Ahlbeck charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jerry Ahlbeck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Alnö's Jerry Ahlbeck got a free kick in the 95th minute. Ingmar Vidman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddie Nordin's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
