After a defensive mix-up in Angkor Wat FC's zone, Freddie Nordin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anders Öberg came out of the goal and Freddie Nordin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Freddie Nordin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Angkor Wat FC's goalkeeper Anders Öberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egil Kihlberg. Freddie Nordin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angkor Wat FC's Anders Öberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Angkor Wat FC from getting a goal against them. Rikard Alberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Smålandsstenar IK booed when Angkor Wat FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Lindell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Smålandsstenar IK's Henry Benett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rikard Alberg in the 43rd minute of play. When Oscar Tomasson fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Smålandsstenar IK's protests and gave Oscar Tomasson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th match minute, Smålandsstenar IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Tomasson to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Freddie Nordin made a kick off. Angkor Wat FC's Anders Öberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie Nordin in the 54th minute of play. Freddie Nordin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes in the game, Rikard Alberg fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Henry Benett having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Freddie Nordin in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anders Öberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69th minute, Freddie Nordin made a precise shot to the right of Anders Öberg. Angkor Wat FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Rikard Alberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Benett having to interfere. Henry Benett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rikard Alberg in the 77th minute of play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Smålandsstenar IK's goalkeeper Henry Benett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 86 minutes of play, Smålandsstenar IK's Freddie Nordin made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anders Öberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the Smålandsstenar IK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
